Description: The project objective is to foster communication and collaboration between the BLM and the WILD Foundation to ensure conservation, management and recovery of North American Wilderness and protected areas, contribute to conserving the ecosystem integrity of wilderness and protected areas; help stakeholders achieve effective, efficient, and mutually beneficial wilderness and protected areas conservation in North America; and foster continental-scale public relevance of management, conservation, and sustainable use of wilderness and protected areas.  The project objective is also to disseminate information about Wilderness to the public via the International Journal of Wilderness, including research findings, planning and management techniques, and use of the world's Wilderness resource.  Recipients of the journal include individual citizens, non-government organizations, wilderness visitors and federal agencies, including but not limited to BLM.  The Journal is disseminated by the WILD Foundation.

Description: The United States Department of the Interior The National Park Service (NPS) / Great Smoky Mountain National Park is providing public notice of NPS's intention to fund the following project activities WITHOUT full and open competition: To provide local youth (ages 16-25) with opportunities to gain experiences learning about NPS careers while working on Resource Management and Science and Resource Education projects in a program called SPARC (Summer Park Ranger Careers).  This project assists the park in meeting multiple national goals set out in the Call to Action.
