Twenty communities commit to postsecondary attainment goals  
Earlier this month, Lumina announced 20 U.S. communities as the first partners in a promising community mobilization initiative led by Lumina Foundation. Designed to help communities and regions dramatically  increase the number of local residents with postsecondary credentials, the collaborative effort connects participating cities with significant technical and planning assistance, data tools, flexible funding and special access to a powerful network of national  thought leaders. Purdue University/Gallup Poll… Funded by Lumina   Gallup has partnered with Purdue University to build and conduct the largest representative study of college graduates in U.S. history. The Gallup-Purdue Index will measure the most important outcomes  of higher education – great careers and lives that matter – and provide higher education leaders with productive insights for meaningful performance improvements. The initiative aims to create a national movement toward a new set of measures, created by and  for higher education, and to help foster a new level of accountability for the sector. Strategy Labs Announced
We are pleased to invite you to visit the new Strategy Labs digital platform to get the latest on higher education policy, news you can use, and interactive  data tools all focused on improving student attainment. The Strategy Labs platform, supported by Lumina Foundation, is designed to help states significantly increase the percentage of Americans with high-quality degrees and certificates by the year 2025. The  site features Lumina’s new State Policy Agenda.

College Scorecard InnoCentive Challenge
Last week, Lumina Foundation announced the winners of the College Scorecard Design Challenge. The College Scorecard was released in February by  The White House as a way to help students compare information on institutions of higher education. The goal of Lumina’s College Scorecard Design Challenge was to engage individuals and organizations en masse to get unique perspectives on how to improve the  College Scorecard.
