Description: The National Park Service (NPS) is actively engaged in increasing visitor diversity and developing citizen stewardship.  One method is to provide opportunities for our nation?s youth to perform service projects in national parks while receiving orientation and training related to national parks.  This Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) advertises programs to engage youth in educational opportunities at North Cascades NPS Complex (NOCA) and San Juan Island National Historical Park (SAJH) during the summer of 2014.  Refer to full FOA for details.

Centers of Research Excellence in Science and Technology (April 22, 2014)

"The Centers of Research Excellence in Science and Technology (CREST) program provides support to enhance the research capabilities of minority-serving institutions through the establishment of centers that effectively integrate education and research. CREST promotes the development of new knowledge, enhancements of the research productivity of individual faculty, and an expanded presence of students historically underrepresented in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) disciplines."
