New York, NY (March 7, 2014) – The Teagle Foundation has announced more than $1.5 million in new grant awards. Foundation President Judith Shapiro stated, “These funded efforts illustrate the Foundation’s continued commitment to promote creative approaches to teaching that best serve student learning.” One group of approved projects explores how faculty working together within and across institutions can improve curricular coherence. Another grant investigates how technology can be used to enhance student learning and increase institutional capacity in residential liberal arts colleges. Also included among the grants is implementation funding under the initiative, “A Larger Vision for Student Learning: Education for Civic and Moral Responsibility,” which began last fall.
